This event is sponsored by the American Cancer Society to raise money and awareness for those battling cancer as well as remembering those lost to this horrific disease. The Event kicks off at approximately 6pm with people staying the whole night into the next morning.

Rough estimates compiled at the event last year showed that they raised $57k+. This is Southold Towns 2nd Relay for Life event and it is held in Riverhead each year as well.

Estimates for this years Relay are approx. $100k+.. This is phenominal! There must have been several thousand people coming and going and hundreds that stayed the whole night and camped out. The kids were in abundance having a great time and so did the adults. People were constantly walking the track in memory of those who have gone on before them or are battling this disease at present. Some walked just for support.

There was alot of entertainment from folk singers to readers to other bands. We kicked off around midnight as the closing entertainment. It was our goal to give everyone a chance to unwind and celebrate life. We played two sets and added some more after receiving alot of requests. They wanted us to keep going but we were exhausted. Our drummer had to drive back to Patchogue as well. We are glad we could stay as long as we did. It was our pleasure to show support for such a good cause and we look forward to doing it again.

JUST FOR YOUR INFO: We will be at the Riverhead Relay, Friday June 15th @ 9:30pm. Come join us again and show your support. We'll have a good time.

We wish to thank the staff for the opportunity to donate our time to this cause. It was our pleasure.
